Good luck! 😀

If you averaged 267 yards with your driver, what would your percentile rank be compared to other male amateurs? (a percentile rank of 70th means you are longer than 70% of players and only 30% are longer than you.)

Borrow a Tour Pro’s Superpower: Which Shot Saves You the Most?

Sorry this is landing late. Last Friday was my member-guest. My game is a mess but I had a blast! 😃

I posted this to X (Twitter):

Imagine this: You can pick a PGA Tour pro to hit shots for you.

You choose a player who's leading in one of the strokes gained categories:
▶️Off-the-tee
▶️Approach
▶️Around-the-green
▶️Putting

But there's a catch:
▶️They can ONLY hit shots from their category.
▶️You'll hit every other shot.

(Example: Pick the best off-the-tee player, and they hit all tee shots on par 4s and 5s. Everything else is yours.)

Which pro would improve your scores the most?

What the Numbers Say

The tables below show you what percent of players would see the biggest improvement for a given category, and the average number of shots they would improve by.

For example, 56.7% of scratch players would save the most strokes by letting the top approach-play player hit their iron shots, while 40.8 % of scratch players would gain more by handing the putter to the Tour’s best putter.

Across every skill level, approach play dominates, putting runs second, and driving brings up the rear. Around-the-green (short game) does not make the list for any skill level.
